I am an out of network provider, meaning I do not work with any insurance companies for therapy. As an out-of-network provider I can provide a superbill to clients, at their request. Payment is due at time of service. I will bill your on file credit card at the end of each session.
Here's how the process typically works:
- Out-of-Network Service: When a client receives care by an out-of-network provider they may be provided a superbill explanation of their care. A superbill is a document used in the healthcare industry that contains information about the services provided during a counseling appointment. It is often used by clients to seek reimbursement from their insurance company for services received from an out-of-network provider.
- Payment and Superbill: After the client pays for the services upfront, the out-of-network provider may provide the client with a superbill. The superbill is an itemized statement that includes specific details about the services rendered, such as CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) codes, diagnosis codes, date of service, provider information, and the total charges for each service.
- Insurance Reimbursement: With the superbill, the client can submit a claim to their insurance company for potential reimbursement. The insurance company will review the superbill and may reimburse the client for a portion of the costs, depending on the coverage and any out-of-network benefits.
- Client Responsibility: It's important for the client to understand that they may still be responsible for a portion of the charges, such as co-insurance, deductible, or any charges that exceed the maximum allowable amount set by the insurance company for out-of-network services.
Confidentiality:
Therapy will be conducted in a confidential manner, pursuant to all WA state laws.
